Happy New year! First blog for 2017.
Anyhow, I got excited when a new friend of mine invited me to go in this authentic Filipino restaurant she found on Maginhawa Street, Quezon City last month. Even I'm staying in Taft Manila, I pushed myself to go there because it's a foooood! LOL I love to eat! *wink*
We know that Maginhawa street has a lot of different food stalls/restaurants. Most of the food stall/restaurant there is more on American foods like Burger, Pizza and other desserts. And that's the reason why I pushed myself to go in this authentic Filipino restaurant - Hapag Heritage Cuisine. I'm in a #cravingforlutongbahay PEG that time.
Here's what we have. PS - don't judge us! We just love the food... *wink*

Kilawin na Hipon - P260.00
-- first time to eat kilawin na hipon, so far it taste good. The sourness of vinegar blend with the shrimp.

Tinapa Rice - P240.00/platter and Sisiron (Chicharon) Rice - new menu
-- first time to encountered chicharon rice. I'm like "oh my! this is so perfect! I need to have this..LOL" but still the Tinapa rice is taste better than Sisiron rice.

Inihaw na Tuna Belly - new menu
-- I really love this dish. Full-flavored of grilled tuna - true taste of tuna at its finest! I didn't taste the sauce because I already contented with the grilled tuna itself.

Manok na Hapag - P300.00 (half) / P470.00 (whole)
-- I'm really into chicken, but I didn't much like this chicken or I think I was caught by the other food?!.. LOL

Sinigang na Bangus sa Bayabas - new menu
-- this is so "what? Sinigang na Bangus sa Bayabas!!?" I tried it and it's like so organic. You will really taste the guava on it - little sour with a little kind of sweetness.

Beef Morcon - P520.00
-- the beef is so tender which will allow you to finish it.

Kare-Kare Family - new menu
-- they used purely peanut not the peanut butter. That's why it's really taste, all-natural and really so deli-style. So #lutongbahay. So #authenticFilipinofood. And oh! The taste of their bagoong really blends with the Kare-Kare.

Binagoongang Baboy - P380.00
-- this one is so perfect! I love how taste it is. Not so salty and not so sweet. The salty and sweetness blend perfectly. And the pork meat is so tender! I recommend you to try this! *wink*

Ginisang Hipon sa Taba ng Talangka - P480.00
-- I didn't eat this much since I have an allergy in shrimp, but I tried it for the sake of the blog! LOL #bloglife It is perfectly cooked and the shrimp are all in large size!

Pancit Canton - P280.00 (good for 3-4 person)
-- this one is so Filipino style, even the taste of it - so Filipino. The fried big cut pork on the top of it seduced me to eat it. LOL I love how the minced fried garlic ideally combined the taste of the Pancit Canton.

Pandan Macapuno Cheesecake - P140.00/slice
-- waaaaa! I'm not into sweet/dessert, but I love this one. Not so sweet and you will easily love it! Check the Macapuno on top of it.

Chorizo Bilbao Ensaymada - new menu
-- this two ensaymada is so wow when I saw it. It's like "pede pala yun" (it can be possible!) They are both sinful. Hehehe.. The Chorizo Bilbao and Tinapa Flakes really fused the taste of the Ensaymada. A must-try dessert!

Tinapa Flakes Ensaymada - new menu

Mango Shake - P120.00
-- very taste of summer!

The place is very homey. It's like you are really in the dining tables of your home plus the authentic Filipino dishes. Perfect for family lunch/dinner out and friends get-to-together. #verylutongbahay #veryhomeyplace
