The first tourist spot I went when I was in Hyderabad India - Charminar, the most prominent landmark which built by the ruler of the Qutb Shahi Dynasty. It has four minarets wherein its name originates from.
It was built to commemorate the end of the plague. But according to some legends, it was built as a symbol of man's eternal love for his wife. And the other legend that Charminar has is a secret tunnel under it that connects to the Golkonda Fort. The tunnel was made for the royal family to escape at the time of emergencies. Wow, lot of legends huh!

The four minarets are scheduled for repainting when I went there, you will easily notice it from the photo. Even when I went to Taj Mahal, its minarets are also scheduled for repainting. LOL. Super exact time. So the photos are not the exact what I really want. Well, it is still surreal. *wink*
It was so freaking hot that day so better to bring sun protection like sunglasses, hat or put some sunblock. I will not recommend you to bring an umbrella since umbrella isn't a thing in India. LOL. Well, you can still bring it, however, everyone will look at you. It's up to you. Hehehehe...
You can go up by round-around shaped stairs and you will see the immense view from the top. You can see the Mecca Masjid, which is one of the tourist spots in Hyderabad and the bazaars scattered in Charminar area.

How to go to Charminar:
- you can take a multiple TSRTC bus to connect the monument with key railway and bus stations
- or book a cab, it is easy to book a cab in the city so don't worry.
By the way, I heard Charminar is looks fascinating when it is light up from 7:00PM to 9:00PM. So if you hate the super hot weather, then go at night there. But you can't enter the monument at night yet you can go for shopping in night bazaars.
