Things to do in Baler, Aurora

Writer: Stylemugger by AwilStylemugger by Awil

All you need is someone who joins in on your weirdness and those someone's are these people - my T.W.O.P.A.H. We planned our first ever summer outing in Baler, Aurora and I posted the places we visited in my previous post. So now, I want to share our itinerary and give some tips.

For the transportation, we booked a deluxe bus Manila-Baler-Manila via Genesis - called JoyBus. It has a very spacious hallway and big chair where you can comfortably sleep. It also has a comfort room and free snacks (both return way) which is very convenient, especially when the travel is too long. The cost is Php736.00 per one way, but you can choose the Standard bus worth Php450.00 to 500.00. We went to Cubao Terminal Bus and chose the 1:00 AM trip - Manila to Baler - travel time is 6 to 7 hours.

We stayed on Sabang Beach, Baler, Aurora for 2 days and 1 night. We rented a whole house worth Php8,000 which is good for 15 people. It has 3 rooms with sala, kitchen and two bathrooms. The two rooms have an air-conditioner and the remaining one has an electric fan. I can't remember the name of it. Anyhow, I will not recommend it. Instead, try to book in the Bay-ler View Hotel. *wink* But if you are on a budget, you can still rent this house. Just leave a comment and I will give you the contact number of the owner.

Breakfast Buffet

We decided to try the breakfast buffet of the Bay-ler View Hotel. If I am not mistaken, it is Php300 per head with unlimited coffee and juices. There's a lot of choices and the food are good. And oh, they have Sea Grape seaweed - try it!

Baler Surfer Grill

A must-place to eat in Baler - Baler Surfer Grill. To be honest, I am kinda disappointed in the place because I expected a big and spacious place but the food was good. I ordered Grilled Fish paired with home-made aligue sauce and served with rice, grilled eggplant, red tomato and chili. The food is freshly cooked from the grill - so it is thumbs up for me.

Another breakfast buffet - I can't remember the name. Anyhow, I will not also recommend it because the food taste is not so good, but there's a lot of choices which is okay. Hahahaha, you know what I mean. *wink* Sorry if I can't remember everything. LOL #apologize *wink*

B.A.L.E.R. Shot

This is a mandatory shot, LOL. Expect the long line just to have a photo of this big B.A.L.E.R letter. For the sake of this letter, we waited for almost 1 hour to have this shot. And finally have it!

And oh! There's a kid guy (around 13-16y.o) who offers to take the photo. Don't estimate him, he is so good at taking photos. He knows how to navigate a Samsung and an Apple phone and he knows where to find a good angle. And the amazing part is, he knows how to use the panorama of my phone which I don't even know that my phone have it. LOL You can trust him, he will not steal your phone. Just don't forget to give him a tip.
